About The Laybook

The Laybook is a daily betting notebook. Every card goes up before the games lock, with the price we bet, the book we bet it at, and the actual reasoning — not vibes, not “trust me,” not a record we quietly reset every cold streak.

How to read a card

Each post covers one slate. The slips at the top are the plays; the writing underneath is why. Lines shown are the best widely available price at posting time — shop around, because a half-point of closing line value is most of this game.

What we never do

No locks-of-the-century, no 10-leg parlays, no chasing. If a slate has no edge, the card says pass. Flat stakes, boring discipline, long runway.

The fine print

Everything here is commentary and entertainment, not financial advice. Bet only what you can lose without caring, only where it’s legal, and only if you’re of age. If it stops being fun, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER — free and confidential.
